Do you struggle with generating content for your social media followers or your next blog post?
Do you not know what to write or share with your audience? Keep reading you’ll know after this.
Writer’s block is something every writer must have experienced. Even the professional writers you can think about must have dealt with this at one point or the other.
What differs them from others is the secret which they use to overcome this writer’s block and share content like they were content machines.
That secret is what I’ll be sharing with you now. Keep reading.
Create a list of topics related to your business.
Table of Contents
Instead of sitting down to think about what to write, make out time to write down topics that are related to your business. You don’t have to sort them as you are writing, just put down ideas as they come. You’ll be amazed at the lots of ideas you can come up with because you are focused on that particular process.
You can create a list of about 12-14 ideas. So that when it’s time to write you pick one and start writing. Some content creators still undervalue the importance of having a content bank.
This is where you store up your ideas as they come for later use. With this, you won’t be sitting idly at your desk thinking about your next idea. As you know ideas don’t always come.
Your Social Media Followers.
The next time you’re bothered about what content you’ll create next, look through the profiles of your followers. You are doing this to know what they’re talking about. Brands they interact with. What their problems may be. Things they are interested in etc.
This will help you decide what you’ll address next. And create content that they’ll love.
Audience Survey.
Maybe you’ve been looking down on the potentials your audience has regarding your content creation process.
Do so no more. Periodically ask your audience questions. Ask them what they’ll want to hear about. What they’ll like you to address, how best they’ll want you to serve them.
Find a way to get them talking by asking them open-ended questions. This is even better because you’ll know exactly what they need by hearing from the horse’s mouth.
Your loyal friend- Google.
Google has been best friend to many since it’s inception. Talk about the numerous new features being added to it. Make Google your friend. If you’re searching for a content idea, you can key in any topic of your choice that is related to your business and you’ll be shown dozens of suggestions on related titles and keywords. You can also type in the title of your previous post and see the search results that show up.
Besides this, you can look up for industry news on Google. Check what is happening in your industry and tweak it in a way it’ll connect with your audience.
Repurposing Your old content.
This is the best. The next time you’re wondering where to get your next content idea, look through your old posts. You can make a live video telling your audience about your best performing content.
If you did a live video in your old post, you can cut some clips, share them and create content about something specific you said in the video.
You can create graphics around insightful statements. You’ll know this by your audiences’ comments on the live video.
And the list goes on. Now, you have no excuse to not feed your audience with quality content. You should not run out of content ideas.
I hope that with this you at least know where to check when you have no idea where to get your next content from.
If you got value from this post, please share to reach other content creators. This might be the help they’ve been looking for.
